Our Ragin Cajun

Lots of wood!!! Lots of nails!! Lots of string!! Some glue PVC Pipe Coke bottle Orange Flag Golf ball A wooden ball Large screw 6 washers Lots of prayers!

What’s suppose to happen Step One: the golf ball is released Step Two: goes down the three PVC pipes Step Three: golf ball hits the turn table Step Four: the string pulls the cardboard Step Five: which releases the ball out of the box

What’s suppose to happen Step Six: the ball falls into the coke bottle Step Seven: the bottle drops because of the weight of the ball and raises the other side Step Eight: which pushes the string Step Nine: The flag is raised!! Yeah!!

Why it wouldn’t work.. The first million times The turn table was to heavy and wouldn’t budge when the ball hit it. The velocity of the big ball, was to slow to rotate the turn table. The ball missed the coke bottle, due to improper alignment Weight on the end of the seesaw was to heavy Train Wreck

Some Equations M*a*cos(θ) Collision mv(initial) =mv(final) Angular momentum Tension Potential Energy mgh

Lessons learned… What looks good on paper, doesn’t always work Thank You!
