SHARED DEVELOPMENT PROFILES Overview The coach and the young person can work together to establish a development plan and have good coaching conversations. After a coaching or training session, you can ask the athlete/player to mark themselves from 1-10 against skills you’d like them to develop. They can plot their scores on the chart for a visual representation of areas that need more work. The coach should then also mark the athlete/player and see where the scores differ and think about and discuss why there is this difference. The coach and athlete/player can use the profile to discuss performance and plan future development. The template gives the example of various skills related to football that you could score against, you should change these to make them suitable for your sport (ie. fast starts, direction change, marking). You can also insert your own club logo if you like. Rate this tool! Give us your feedback.
