The CMF Range

Indications The OL1000 Bone Growth Stimulator is indicated for the non-invasive treatment of an established non-union acquired secondary to trauma, excluding vertebrae and all flat bones SpinaLogic is indicated as an adjunct electromagnetic treatment to primary lumbar spinal fusion surgery for one or two levels.

Device Placement – OL1000/ Spinalogic Use over cast or brace Various sizes Size of the device should be chosen so that the treatment site fits comfortably inside the device coil(s) The treatment site should be placed near the centre of the device and the device secured in place SpinaLogic should be placed precisely with the centre bar of the device over the incision site of the spinal fusion surgery One size only An extender belt can be ordered through Customer Service

Device Placement When in place, the patient should be able to move around as necessary during the daily treatment Because of the short, one-half hour per day treatment time, the patient should be encouraged to sit or rest comfortably during the treatment The device must remain properly positioned for the treatment to be most effective

Operation & Display Icons – Initial Treatment Apply the device, press and hold the “push button” until the device beeps. The LCD will display the “treatment record” icon until the device beeps After the device beeps, the treatment record will be replaced by a “wait” icon The device should then start to treat, counting down from thirty minutes, and display the “treatment” icon At the end of the thirty-minute treatment the device will beep two times and display the “treatment complete” icon

Error Messages Magnetic Interference Error – if the device comes into contact with another magnetic field it will stop Replace Battery Error - if the batteries do not have enough charge to complete the day’s treatment, the device will not start the session and the battery icon will appear Infrared Beam Error - If the patient removes their limb from the device during treatment, the beam will signal the device to stop treatment Phone for Help Error - In the rare instance that the device cannot be fixed by the user and needs to be addressed by engineering, this icon will be displayed
