Year One topics Autumn Term: ‘Into the Woods’ (we have a very exciting launch to this topic within a few weeks of term…watch this space! Spring Term ‘Out of the egg’ and ‘Pirates Ahoy!’ Summer Term: Destination…OUTER SPACE!

P.E Please put your child’s name in every item! P.E Kit Black shorts Red or white T Shirt Pumps Dark Tracksuit (woolly hats are useful in the winter months!) Trainers Please put your child’s name in every item! Please remove all jewellery before coming to school on these days.

Homework Year 1 Friday Tuesday At school Numeracy activity linked to the work done during the week. Phonics Tuesday Big Write will be sent home as appropriate to support literacy sessions that week. At school Return all homework including Big Write on Thursday Reading EVERY night – 10 minutes

Reading Planners These are a great source of information: It includes: Big Maths ‘Learn Its’ Year One high frequency words KS1 Marking Ladder Healthy Eating tips and this supports our schools ethos where we encourage ‘Healthy Snacks & Lunch boxes’ Page 1, 2 and 6 will need to be signed by you.
