Role of State Civil Services in Maharashtra State Service is a “Face”of Government at the cutting edge. First grievance is always placed before the State Service Officer. Information is compiled at the level of State Service Officer. Accuracy & Authenticity influences decision making process at the highest level. Responsibility of Implementation of all Government Schemes/decisions is on State Service Officers. All official & unofficial feedbacks on situation in the state comes from the State services. The state service officer is an important link between higher & and lower bureaucracy. The state service officer works on variety of posts across the departments and gains wide theoretical and practical experience on various laws/regulations and practical implementation. The State service officers finally get inducted into All India Services.
