The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, … 1 Peter 5:1, 2  The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, … Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; 

Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. 1 Peter 5:3, 4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, you shall receive a crown of glory that fades not away.  Monday

Matthew 20:26-28 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, Tuesday

Philippians 2:7, 8   But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:  And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. 

Christ clothed with humanity

Wednesday 1Peter 5:5, 6 Likewise, you younger, submit yourselves to the elder. Yes, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resists the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.    Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: 

Whom resist stedfast in the faith, … Thursday 1 Peter 5:8-10  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour:  Whom resist stedfast in the faith, …   But the God of all grace, who has called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that you have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.. 

1 Peter 5:10  But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
