ADVANCED INFANTRY TRAINING BATTALION SCHOOL OF INFANTRY – EAST ADVANCED INFANTRY MARINE COURSE PREP-GUIDE 1. The purpose of this program of instruction is to provide a Marine with the knowledge and skills required to serve as an infantry squad leader in an infantry rifle platoon. 2. 0300 1000 Level T&R events 0300 CMBH 1001-1004 0300 COMM 1001-1006 0300 COND 1001 0300 DEF 1001-1003 0300 DEMO 1002-1003 0300 M16 1005,1007,1010,1017 0300 M203 1001-1005 0300 MED 1001 0300 MOUT 1001-1002 0300 OFF 1001 0300 OPT 1001 0300 PAT 1001-1012 0300 WPNS 1001-1005, 1007 0311 1000 Level T&R events 0311 DEF 1002 0311 DEMO 1001 0311 M27 1001-1003, 1005 0311 MOUT 1001-1003 0311 OFF 1001 0311 PAT 1001 It is recommended that students attending this course be evaluated on these events within 60 days of the course convene date. Prospective students should put additional emphasis on land navigation (plotting and map work), patrolling (basic formations and their purposes, tactical movement) and communications. Students will execute multiple field evolutions during which proficiency in these skills will be paramount. Additionally, all subsequent tasks taught throughout the course build on these fundamental skills and assume a base level of proficiency in them.. 0300 2000 Level T&R events 0300 CMBH 2001-2005,2007,2009 0300 COMM 2001-2004 0300 FSPT 2001-2005 0300 PAT 2001-2006 0300 TRNG 2003 0300 WPNS 2001-2002 0311 2000 Level T&R events 0311 DEF 2002-2006 0311 MOUT 2001-2002 0311 OFF 2002-2007 0311 PAT 2003 The above listed T&R events are evaluated during the course and are graduation requirements. Students should familiarize themselves with these events within three months of attending AIMC, with a focus on combat orders (receiving AND writing/issuing), indirect fire support (employment considerations, call for indirect fire and close air support), and field craft. Familiarization should focus on not only the individual actions for each event, but their function within a team and squad.

ADVANCED INFANTRY TRAINING BATTALION SCHOOL OF INFANTRY – EAST ADVANCED INFANTRY MARINE COURSE PREP-GUIDE 3. In addition to the T&R events listed, students should make themselves familiar with the expectations for conduct while TAD to a formal learning center. They should remember, always, they are a direct representation of their units and should act accordingly. Physical preparation for AIMC is of the utmost importance. The course is physically demanding and field training focused. Students will make significant tactical movements under load and be expected to make decisions under physical and mental strain. 4. This prep-guide intentionally mirrors the required Command Screening Checklist(CSC), but does not replace it. In order to be accepted to the course, students are required to physically possess the CSC on the convening date. 5. If there are any questions or concerns regarding eligibility or preparation for this course, please contact the course SNCOIC at (910) 449-0082.
