Deanery Synod January 2018 Welcome! Do get a drink, take a wander round the church, introduce yourself to anyone you don’t know.

Jesus says: wherever two or three are gathered I am in the midst of them. So, we come from scattered lives to meet with God and one anther. Let us recognize God’s presence with us. Silence is kept. As God’s people we have gathered: let us worship together.

Be still, for the presence of the Lord, the Holy One is here; Come bow before Him now with reverence and fear. In Him no sin is found, we stand on holy ground; Be still, for the presence of the Lord, the Holy One is here.

Be still, for the glory of the Lord is shining all around; He burns with holy fire, with splendour He is crowned. How awesome is the sight, our radiant King of light! Be still, for the glory of the Lord is shining all around.

Be still, for the power of the Lord is moving in this place; He comes to cleanse and heal, to minister His grace. No work too hard for Him, in faith receive from Him; Be still, for the power of the Lord is moving in this place. David J. Evans © 1986 Kingsway’s Thankyou Music.

Holy God, we gather in the name of Christ. We gather as your people, whose mission is to share your love, grace and healing. We gather and give thanks for your presence with us, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
