Hydrosphere

The word “hydro” means water making the literal meaning of hydro sphere “water sphere”. The hydrosphere consumes 70% of the earths population.

The image above displays the process of the water cycle.

This image shows how energy is transferred throughout the sphere involving the hydrosphere.

Interactions The ground beneath your feet also interacts in characteristic ways with the other spheres. Life can flourish on some parts of the geosphere, but it cannot survive on other parts.

Facts about water About 80% of all sicknesses and diseases come from dirty water so it is important to keep water clean and healthy. Found in the Pacific Ocean, the Mariana Trench is the deepest known point in the world’s oceans. Drinking water is needed for humans to avoid dehydration, the amount you need each day depends on the temperature, how much activity you are involved in and other factors. Electricity can be created from hydropower, a process that uses water to drive water turbines connected to generators. There are many hydroelectric power stations around the world.
