UCL Agreement of Consistent Treatment Launched today for the first time at UCL Provides Disabled Staff and those with caring responsibilities a means of recording agreed variations to working arrangements in order to remove barriers to work Part of UCL’s strategy to ensure that our community is able to make the most of its talent and maintain a good work life balance Key part of Disability Equality Action Plan intended to promote fairness for our Disabled staff and students First Russell Group university to announce such an innovative scheme Others operating scheme include Lloyds Bank, Fujitsu and EE for example see https://members.businessdisabilityforum.org.uk/newsletter/members/december-2014/fujitsu-disabled-employee-network-seed-and-disability-passport/

ACT Types Non-Disability related Human Support Support with travel to work Physical adaptations or space reallocation Additional equipment or furniture Flexible working Non-Disability related Any atypical working arrangement to accommodate caring responsibilities. Such as flexible working and working from home which are not part of an agreed reasonable adjustment. Human Support The provision of a support worker, sign language interpreter or job aid. *   Support with travel to work A contribution towards the cost of using a taxi or minicab to replace all or part of a journey on public transport, when travelling to or from work and/or within working hours. * Physical adaptations or space reallocation Changes made to the physical features of a building and its surroundings or the reallocation of space within buildings. * Additional equipment or furniture The provision of specifically designed equipment, including adaptive technology and the acquisition of non-standard office furniture. * Flexible working Changing the start or finish times or agreeing to some remote working. (Either on a time-limited or open-ended basis) as a ‘reasonable adjustment’.
