Drinking and Driving Punishment The October 1998 ADAC and 12 October 1998, Stuttgarter Zeitung Nr. 235 magazines outlines. From .03 to .049 - BAC with suspect driving or involvement in an accident; Driver’s license taken away for at least 6 months: 7 points against your driver’s license: Fined from 30 to 45 times your daily salary. From .05 to .079 - USAREUR driver’s license suspended 3 months. Stopped by a routine traffic stop 2 points against your driver’s license and 200 DM fine From .08 to .109 - Driving banned for one month, 4 points against driver’s license: 500 DM Fine: Higher penalties for 2nd and 3rd offenses. (BAC .08-.099 USAREUR driver’s license suspended for 6 months). From .11 and above - You are considered absolutely unfit to drive a car.
