Lions becoming a full part of Cub Scouts New Den Chief Training Facilitator Guide (2018) https://www.scouting.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/Den-Chief-Syllabus-v3.pdf Youth Protection 2.0 – Every one must take it! How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. 4 modules (#4 is the test) taking about one hour total Skip to the test and you will NOT get credit Patriot looking to have everyone completed this spring YPT for Youth coming 2019

YPT 2.0 Key Points Take this Spring for Summer Camp compliance and to get well ahead of Rechartering. At rechartering, every registered leader must be current 72 hour is cumulative for any event. i.e. Can’t leave camp for a couple hours or a day and then return and reset the clock Good for two years (until it isn’t ) New reporting requirements “Assigning youth members more than two years apart in age to sleep in the same tent should be avoided unless the youth are relatives.”

What’s New (Con’t) Effective the 2018 BSA summer camp season, any adult accompanying a Boy Scout troop to a residence camp or other Scouting activity lasting 72 hours or more must be registered as a leader, including completion of a CBC [criminal background check] and YPT, even if they are the parent of a youth on the trip https://filestore.scouting.org/filestore/email/campaign/Youth-Protection-Overview_03-06-2018.pdf Tip: Position Code 91, “Scouter Reserve” will preclude any additional position-specific training requirements—but then again, why not fill a real need!
