I have been looking at medieval weapons and Welcome to my project.  I have been looking at medieval weapons and  during my research I really liked  finding out about long range weapons. I am going to tell you about 3 different types of long range weapons.

Perrier . It was powered by man pulling ropes . Quick to reload with an engineer at the bottom to fill the sling . Launches small projectiles

Mangonel .Reload takes longer than the others .power comes from ropes twisted around an arm creating a torsion spring. .The arm stops at 90 degrees launching the missile.

Trebauchet . Uses a counter weight to let the projectile go . Can launch missiles over castle walls . The projectiles can travel up to 450m

Edward I and the seige at Stirling Castle Edward I used a specially made trebuchet called the Warwolf at the battle for Stirling castle in 1304.  Even though Scotland surrendered before the Warwolf was finished, Edward I made them return to the castle so he could try it out.
