A New Formula for Success Lesson 2 A New Formula for Success

What does success mean to you and how do you get it?

The New Formula for Success: Success = Good Results + Good Ride Good Results = getting the things you want to achieve Good Ride = the experience has been enjoyable The purpose of TLC is to help you achieve Good Results and experience a Good Ride.

The Big Myth IQ is not what makes the difference between our being a top 20 or A bottom 80.

The Anatomy of EQ EQ = Emotional Quotient Thinking = Self-Smart Learning = School-Smart Communicating = People-Smart

The Big Myth IQ is the major factor in determining our success. The New Truth Success in your life, experiences, and relationships will be determined more by EQ than just about anything else.

Name some successful people whose IQ is high. Now name some successful people whose EQ is high. What qualities set these people apart?

What are your take-aways from this lesson?

Time for Action How would you rate yourself on the IQ and EQ Scales (1-10)? In which of the EQ areas do you most want to improve: Self-Smarts (THINKING)? People-Smarts (COMMUNICATING)? School-Smarts (LEARNING)?
