ACPSD Compass Pathblazer Virtual Summer Enrichment Program -extending learning opportunities beyond the time and location constraints of the classroom

What? Virtual Summer Enrichment Opportunity Who? K – 5 students When? June 6 – August 5, 2016 Where? From the comfort of home or any internet connected computer

With broad research pointing to the summer months as a significant time for student skill regression — accountable for close to 80 percent of the reading achievement gap by 9th grade, the proposed “Virtual Summer Enrichment Opportunity” will fill the learning gap from the end of one school year to the beginning of the next school year.

Through the use of our web-based learning tool, Compass Pathblazer, students will have an opportunity to work on individual areas of need in reading and math as determined by the Pathblazer adaptive screeners and diagnostics. Using adaptive screeners and diagnostics insures the delivery of precise instruction to accelerate kids to grade level and beyond.

Academic growth is shown to be proportional to the level of usage: the more regularly students use Compass Learning, the more they grow academically.
