Presentation transcript:

The be inspired project Utter Rubbish Ltd Elliott Lancaster Focused on improving rates and quality of Recycling and Waste management by offering improved recycling and waste collection information for household waste services users and a national fly-tipping prevention online reporting service. The be inspired project When applying to the scheme the aspect of greatest importance was being able to network with likeminded individuals to support the development of each others businesses. Through establishing a close working relationship with local authorities this has ensured that connections have been made at the Staffordshire Waste Partnership, where support has been provided in accessing information from other authorities and business on their practices and easing the data collection process. This has been featured as a case study in United Nations PRiME report to demonstrate what the best practices are for management education. This work has meant that Utter Rubbish has been made a Finalist in the Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce Award, Shortlisted in the Morgan Innovation and Technology Prize. Elliott has also spoken as the Speaker of Honour at various events about recycling and fly tipping at the local Rotary Club, as well as representing Staffordshire at the Royal Wedding for his work done in the community. If giving advise to anyone starting the scheme I would suggest that they made use of all available opportunities, as you never know where it may take you. The Future for you. Continue to develop the app to become more intuitive to further benefit the communication provided to residents. This will enable us to scale up nationally.
