Welcome to AP Human Geography POKEMON GO Welcome to AP Human Geography

Pokémon Go Directions You will work in groups of five. With your group create a map of our school. (as best as you can) include a title and key. Discuss within your group and agree upon three places where you would put Poke Stops. You should be able to defend why you have chosen these spots and why they are relevant to our school’s culture and/or history. Pokémon creator has stated he created Pokémon based on his childhood love of bugs. What would you base your GHS Pokémon on? Why?

Pokémon Go Directions You will gather the information you need to find the Pokémon Go characters located on this campus at each Poke Stop. Once you find the characters, your group will take a selfie with the Pokémon character. Notate and mark the location of the Pokémon character on your map. Come back to class and collaborate and answer the questions which will be posted for you. You should only be away from class for no more than 20 minutes.

What is the purpose of each Poké Stop? What do you think the distance is from your classroom to each Poké Stop? What is the Poké Stop part of? Are there any landmarks or monuments by the Poké Stop? Although a fictional character, each Pokémon is found in a real ecosystem. Describe its ecosystem. For instance, is there grass, water, structures, etc. nearby?
