Natural vs Human enhanced Greenhouse Effect pg. 99L Compare and Contrast Natural vs Human enhanced Greenhouse Effect pg. 99L Make a compare and contrast T-chart of the natural greenhouse effect vs. the human enhanced greenhouse effect. Be prepared to share with the class.

Glue on Page 99 R

Evidence of Human Enhanced Greenhouse Effect p.100 R Go to each station and summarize what you see and explain the evidence that supports climate change. Source Summarize what the source is showing. Describe what you see in the source Ex: What does the key tell you, title, keywords. Evidence Explain the specific evidence that supports the claim that climate change is due to human activities (use details, data, specific examples) Example

Example A

Source Summarize what the source is showing. Describe what you see in the source Ex: What does the key tell you, title, keywords. Evidence Explain the specific evidence that supports the claim that climate change is due to human activities (use details, data, specific examples) Example A Shows the annual manmade CO2 emissions and the annual amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. Shows that both are increasing. The graph in example A shows that manmade CO2 emissions and the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere have increased at the same rate. Meaning that we are causing the increase in CO2 in the atmosphere.

Temperature 1 Temperature 2 Temperature 3 CO2 Example B

Source Summarize what the source is showing. Describe what you see in the source Ex: What does the key tell you, title, keywords. Evidence and Reasoning Explain the specific evidence that supports the claim that climate change is due to human activities (use details, data, specific examples) Example B Shows the average temperature(C) between 3 places and the average amount of CO2 in ppmv between 1960-2010. In example 3 graph the average temperature increases at the same rate that the concentration of CO2 increases. Showing that there is a correlation between CO2 and temperature. When CO2 increases so does the temperature.

Example C

C Shows the top 10 countries that emit the most greenhouse gases. Source Summarize what the source is showing. Describe what you see in the source Ex: What does the key tell you, title, keywords. Evidence and Reasoning Explain the specific evidence that supports the claim that climate change is due to human activities (use details, data, specific examples) Example C Shows the top 10 countries that emit the most greenhouse gases. Shows that US, USSR and China each emit more than 10% of the total greenhouse gases emitted. Graph C does not support the claim that climate change is due to human activities but it does show that US emits the most Greenhouse gases.

Evidence of Climate Change CER pg. 100L Claim I claim that climate change is due to human activities. Evidence 1 In graph __ it shows ……. Evidence 2 The data in graph __shows ….. Evidence 3 The line graph in graph __ increases …….. Reasoning
