National Jr. Beta Club Pledge I hereby declare that I shall always strive To be honest and truthful at all times; To maintain a creditable scholastic record; To be of service to my teachers and fellowmen; To conduct myself in a manner to reflect credit Upon my school and community.

The reading of the minutes:

Beta Great Justin Timberlake

How the points system works: Service Points How the points system works: Everyone who was on time should have gotten their card initialed. If you are wearing your pin or t-shirt today, you should have received an extra signature. Only one extra signature…not one for each.

If you donated $1 for Middle Tyger Community Ministries, you should have received one service point. If you donated $2+, you should have received two service points.

You should have turned in your membership card after getting your points. You should have accumulated at least 15 points by today. If you have not met the required points you will be given a warning to become more active next semester.

Probation means you will need to meet the expected standard by the end of third nine weeks. ( 15 + 7 = 22) If you have not met the grade requirements, you will also be placed on probation. How many points should I have?

September Points Monthly Meeting ~ 1 or 2 points Adopt a Road ~ 2 or 3 points Canned Food Drive ~ 1 or 2 points

Monthly Meeting ~ 1 or 2 points Packages for Patriots ~ 1 or 2 points October Points Monthly Meeting ~ 1 or 2 points Packages for Patriots ~ 1 or 2 points

November Points Monthly Meeting ~ 1 or 2 points Adopt – A – Road ~ 2 or 3 points Holiday Letters For Heroes ~ 2 points

December Points Monthly Meeting ~ 1 or 2 points Donate Dollars ~ 1 or 2 points

So, you could have up to 22 points if you have participated in everything!

No crying if you don’t have your 15 points! Just get busy in 2015!

You will pick up a new Service Points card at the January meeting.

You will be responsible for remembering to bring your card to each meeting or activity. You will get your card initialed by an officer or an advisor each time you attend a club or committee meeting, participate in litter patrol pick up, or contribute to service projects.

This month’s service opportunities:

Holiday Letters For Heroes This month we will offered an afterschool service learning activity to write multiple Christmas letters to military service members. It was from 3:00 until 4:00 on Thursday, November 20th. We had about 20 members earn 2 points for the hour time period and we wrote more than 30 letters.

December Service Project: Dollar Donations to Middle Tyger Community Ministries

January Service Homework Help begins. You must arrive by 7:10 and work until 7:40. You must be on time to receive your points. You must bring something to work on if no one is there to be helped. Be at the Jan. meeting to sign up!

The next meeting will be: Friday, January 9th @ 7:15 in Art Room 2 Remember, the more you put into Beta, the more you get out of it!
