EARNING BACK POINTS THROUGH REDOS Mrs. Endel

How do we submit corrections to Mrs. E? On the phone CALL ME WITH THEM Clearly label and send in webmail

What Kinds of Points Can We Earn Back? Portfolios Test points – multiple choice, essay Discussion responses Quiz points – multiple choice Which assessment types carry the most weight on your grade?

How Can We Earn Back Quiz/Test MC Points? Clearly label each quiz/test and any question that you redo Write at least 3 sentences explaining why the correct answer is correct. Use details, explanation, support. DO NOT MERELY WRITE THE CORRECT ANSWER.

Example Quiz Redo Question: Who was US President in 2015? Redo: Barak Obama, a Democrat, was the President. He was elected in 2008, defeating his Republican opponent, Senator John McCain. Mr. Obama’s running mate was Joseph Biden.

How Do We Redo Test Essay Questions? Clearly label the test and question(s) you are redoing Answer the question, using at least 3 full sentences. Support your claims thoroughly: use details, explanations, facts, specifics. The more points the question is worth, the more you information you’ll need to include

Example Test Essay Question Redo Question: Describe two ways that George Washington left his mark on the US government. Redo: Washington only served two terms as President. This impacted US government, because almost all other Presidents only served two terms. If GW only served two terms, they weren’t better than him. Another way that GW influenced US government was that when Congress offered to elect him king, he refused. The colonies had just fought a war against a King George, and Washington didn’t think it was right for the US to have a king, because that might lead to a monarchy, which the colonies were trying to escape.

Discussion Question Redos Carefully read the discussion prompt. Make sure you answer all parts of it. Follow the guidelines in the (Mrs. E’s) grading rubric. You can find an example of this rubric in the “How To Bring Up my Grade” topic or on the next slide of this presentation. Call me with your information
