A bully often continues to pick on others until he/she is stopped A bully often continues to pick on others until he/she is stopped. When is it appropriate for someone else to get involved in a bullying situation? When is it not appropriate? How do you know if it is a bullying situation?

When should a teacher step into bullying and when should a teacher step back? What role should the U.S. take in world events?

After Vietnam gained independence from France in 1954… representatives from France, Vietnam, U.S., Soviet Union, other nations met to establish peace agreement for Vietnam talks reflected Cold War tensions worried about spread of communism, Western powers did not want Ho Chi Minh, Communists, to have complete control of Vietnam Vietnam temporarily divided into northern and southern halves communists would control north President Eisenhower warned if Vietnam fell to communism, other Southeast Asian nations would quickly follow belief that communism would spread called domino theory

Did the United States have a responsibility to stop the spread of communism?

Many feared the loss of Vietnam would lead to the loss of other Southeast Asian countries and would encourage Communists to try to take over countries elsewhere.

Reasons for U.S. involvement the domino theory the chance to help South Korea create a democratic government the Cold War
