Legal Snap Definition: Rule 2-40 Passing or handing the ball backward from its position on the ground Begins when snapper first moves ball legally (other than adjustments) Snap must (a) be quick & continuous backward motion; (b) immediately leave snappers hand(s); (c) touch a Back or the ground before touching a Lineman Does the snap have to occur between the snappers legs?
