Presentation transcript:

Google glass Google Glass is a wearable computer that is being developed by Google , with a mission of producing a mass-market ubiquitous (appears everywhere) computer. The glasses are interacted with using everyday voice commands.

So are they actually glasses? At the moment no. The current explorer version can only be worn by people who don’t wear prescription lens but Google are looking at a partnership with companies such as Ray-Ban so that the glasses can be worn by people who wear prescription frames. You could look like this trendy fellow ->->->

Hardware! Camera - Google Glass has the ability to take photos and record 720p HD video. Touchpad-A touchpad is located on the side of Google Glass, allowing users to control the device by swiping through a timeline-like interface displayed on the screen. This lad is using the touchpad->->

OMG THIS IS AMAZING WHERE CAN I GET ONE! This is the appropriate reaction to the Google glass. The fact that you will be able to surf the net while pretending to listen to someone thrills me, but there is a problem…. At the moment it is only available to members of the ‘Glass Explorer program’ which is a beta test for developers and consumers to test Google Glass, and gauge how people will want to use it. Release expected in 2014 is looking probable and it will cost less than the $1500 beta unit.

Android Android is an OS based on the Linux kernel designed for touch screen devices. It was originally developed by Android Inc. which was backed financially by Google then bought in 2005. Android is open source and Google releases the code under the Apache License. This means that it can be modified my device manufacturers, developers and enthusiasts.
