This tutorial will give you an overview of how to sign in and use your MyPMI Mail account. When you log into your MyPMI mail account, you only need to type in your username since the rest of the email address is automatically filled in for you. Upon login, you’ll see your Inbox. Unread mail is in boldface type. To the left are shortcuts to: the Inbox, Sent Mail, Drafts, and so forth. To access all your mail or to view what you’ve deleted, click the drop-down arrow to expand the menu. You can opt to view All Mail or Trash. Check your spam folder on a regular basis. Sometimes legitimate mail gets filtered as spam. New mail is always shown in bold. To read an email, click on it. MyPMI mail groups together emails with the same subject title. So here, you can see the original email and all its replies without having to click back to your inbox and search the titles for yourself. Right now I’m looking at the most recent reply. Click on any other response to expand it. Click on it again to shrink it. When you’re done with an email but not quite ready to delete it, you can store it by clicking Archive. When you go back to the Inbox, you won’t see this email anymore but you can find it a of couple ways: Either by going to All Mail or by running a search in the Search Mail text field. Just enter a keyword that was in the subject or the body of the email and the search will find all the conversations containing the keyword. If you want to set aside multiple emails in your Inbox, check the boxes next to the desired emails then select Archive. You can find them again using any of the methods mentioned earlier. The great thing about the Archive feature is that you can spot your most recent emails easily without the clutter of older emails that you’re not yet ready to delete. It’s like storing your emails on a shelf instead of throwing them in the trash. To compose mail, simply click Compose Mail in the upper left corner. You have a text editor and spell check. And you can save your email as a draft if you need to finish it later. If you forget to click Save, don’t worry. MyPMI mail will periodically save it for you as you’re composing in case you accidentally click the Back button or your computer shuts down unexpectedly. All your drafts can be found by clicking Drafts from the main menu on the left. To delete your draft, simply click Discard.
