Next Generation Science Standards Life Science in 6th grade looks at the system of cells and its organelles, and at the body as a system of interacting sub-systems built of cells and specialized for a particular function. Earth Science, the major systems studied are the atmosphere and oceans. Modeling oceans and atmosphere as sub systems. Temperature, density, humidity, flow pattern, explain and describe their patterns of changeover time. Physical Science: Energy, Kinetic Energy, Thermal Energy, Wind Energy, Renewable- Nonrenewable energy. etc.
