God is with us don’t miss it!

The Beginning John 1:1,14  1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. . . 14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. In the Greek mind, “the word” = divine wisdom In the Hebrew mind, “the word” brought one back to Genesis 1 where God created by His word.

What has been made known? God is humble. That God is great & mighty is something most anyone can figure out on their own …that God is also humble is a truth that was conveyed via Jesus alone… 2 Corinthians 8:9  For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich. Philippians 2:4-11 How should this impact us?

What has been made known? God is approachable. “Among people who walled off a separate sanctum for God in the temple and shrank from pronouncing or spelling out the name, God made a surprise appearance as a baby in a manger. What can be less scary than a newborn with his limbs wrapped tight against his body? In Jesus, God found a way of relating to human beings that did not involve fear.” -Philip Yancey in The Jesus I Never Knew

How should we respond to this good news?
