My budgeting plan for a month with $500 from my bank account MIA $500 budget plan My budgeting plan for a month with $500 from my bank account

FOOD $160 For $35 per week going towards food, I would be able to purchase fresh ingredients at a local supermarket to make all my meals from home as opposed to eating out. Eating out can prove to be costly and unhealthy as well.

transportation $52 Buying a car with the budget of $500 is nearly impossible, but a positive of living in the lower mainland is the transit system. I decided to use a monthly-paid compass card as opposed to paid by use, these cost $52. This will grant me access to buses and skytrains.

personal $50 For personal items, such as toiletries, I have chosen to use $50. This will be enough to supply me with toilet paper, period supplies, dental products, etc. This will also allow me to buy shampoo and conditioner.

Clothes $45 Despite enjoying shopping for clothes and wearing nice things, the budget limits my usage of money towards clothes. I have chosen to spend $45 on clothing to buy what is necessary (a shirt, underwear, pants, etc.)

phone $50 Fido carries a plan that is $40 that includes 500 minutes Canada wide, unlimited text messaging and 500mb of data. This is offering quite a lot considering the price. Adding $5 to the plan will give you $400 off a new phone, I added another $5 in the case the new phone is need of extra fees.

entertainment $143 (remaining) I have taken out $70 for Wi-Fi in the home for the month, which will give me much liberty with my phone. I also have $73 for extra outings, which, if used weekly (around 18 dollars) is enough for a movie or other outings with friends.
