Academic Lecture How to prepare Manuscript for APCATB in view of Editors & Reviewers? 报告人：Prof. In-Sik Nam (Pohang University of Science and Technology ) 时间：2018-04-06 (周五) 晚上 20:00-20:40 地点：湖湾酒店一层 报告简介： Reviewing manuscript has now occupied a large share of scientists’ and engineers’ normal research efforts, since the number of submissions to journals has been dramatically increasing and the pressures on the speed of review and publication have become a key factor for the authors in determining the choice of journal. The first part will discuss the general introduction of APCATB, mainly the role of Editors in three regions, Asian-Pacific, Europe and America and the recent journal performance. In the second part, how to prepare high quality manuscript will be described in view of the organization, length and novelty of the content. In the final part the ethical issue and use of the library programs available will be discussed for checking plagiarized sentences and phrases. He received his PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 1983. He began his career at POSTECH in Korea in 1987. His research interest is mainly environmental catalysis and reactor design in the area of emission control technology including urea-SCR, HC/OHC-SCR and reaction kinetics of TWC. He has been appointed as one of five editors for “Applied Catalysis B: Environmental”, since 2007. He was the president of Korea Institute of Chemical Engineers (KIChE) in 2010 and received the prestigious National Medal from the President of Korea in April, 2013 and the 11th Presidential Engineering Award in for his outstanding contribution for the progress of Catalysis & Chemical Engineering Science and Education. He published significant works in Automotive Catalysis journals from 2013.
