Course Registration 2018 - 19 Parent Portal is open from February 21st – February 28th for elective selections. Students who do not select their appropriate number of electives or alternatives will have them chosen for them. Choose appropriate number of electives and alternate electives via the portal Follow waiver instructions regarding any changes to core classes Please encourage your students to visit their counselor in Lunch & Learn in the Media Center Choose courses wisely – schedule changes will not be permitted DON’T PANIC!!!!

Dual Enrollment Opportunity for Georgia high school students to take courses from a state public or private postsecondary institution while still enrolled as a high school student and receive credit BOTH at the high school and at the postsecondary institution. Provides financial assistance for tuition, fees, and books. Courses do not count against any maximum hourly caps for HOPE scholarships or grants. Participate part-time or full-time Student must apply and be accepted to a participating Postsecondary Institution (University system of Georgia, Technical College of Georgia, or private school ) Extra Quality point added to Cumulative GPA.

HOPE & Zell Miller HOPE 3.0 Core GPA as calculated by the Georgia Student Finance Commission. Student must maintain a 3.0 GPA in College. Zell Miller Scholar Program Students must graduate with a 3.7 GPA as calculated by the Georgia Student Finance Commission and have a 1200 SAT (math & critical reading) or a 26 on the ACT. HOPE Rigor Requirements There are HOPE Rigor Requirements for both the HOPE Scholarship and Zell Miller Scholarship.  Due to the continued updates made to the HOPE Scholarship, it is in the student’s/family’s best interest to consult directly with Georgia Student Finance Commission.  They are the organization that issues, approves, and sets the standards for the scholarship, therefore they can most accurately define the qualifications. All Students that want to be eligible for the HOPE Scholarship, must have the Grade Point Average and 4 academically rigorous courses as defined by GSFC* *Please see complete list of eligible courses at www.gafutures.org

Social Media & College Admissions

Athletes - NCAA Students interested in playing college athletics must register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. Students must register once their junior year courses and grades are available on their transcript Submit the application at The NCAA Eligibility Center Submit an official high school transcript and official SAT/ACT scores
