We will focus on compare and contrast, adding –ing and doubling the final consonant, suffixes, and timelines. Math-We will continue to work on Unit 6. This unit will introduce regrouping two digit addition problems. This is a very hard concept for 2nd graders. The homework I will be sending home will help with mastering the skills. The grades from this unit will be split between this and the next grading period. Science-Earth and Space Social Studies- Community Helpers, Government, and Christopher Columbus. Health-Safety and Drug Prevention I will be personally dying LARGE MENS WHITE T SHIRTS brown for your children to make Native American shirts for our Thanksgiving Program. I will not be providing any shirts. Please send a new or used MENS SHORTS SLEEVE WHITE T SHIRT on or before 11/10/17!!!! Fall Fest is November 11th from 5-7 p.m. on the softball field. Our grade level has a snack walk. I am asking that my class bring one box of a dozen snacks such as, Little Debbie's, Rice Krispy Treats, snack cakes, etc. Please NO candy. Please send these on or before November 10th. Students need 10 points between October 10th-November 10th with an 80% average for the 2nd 6 week prize. Second grade students must have 35 points and an 80% average for the Fall Party before December 15th. CLASSROOM NEED: WE NEED ONE PACKAGE OF TALL WHITE SOCKS. I will cut them up for white board erasers. Anyone who could donate, that would be wonderful!  Thank you in advance. Reminder: Spelling, Vocabulary, and Math test cannot be redone.
