1st Grade Weekly News Week of October 22nd – 26th WE WILL BE WORKING ON: Reading: Characters Story Structure Writing: Handwriting Grammar: Questions Math: Topic 4: Subtraction Facts to 20: Use Strategies Essential Question: “What strategies can you use while subtracting?” Social Studies: Geography TEACHER’S CORNER: Red Ribbon Week Monday – Wear Read Tuesday – Crazy Hair Wednesday – Pajamas/sweats Thursday – Mismatch clothes Friday – Bring a stuffed animal We are going to practice a little public speaking on Friday with the stuffed animal your child brings in. They will get to tell the class about an interesting story or why they brought it. DON’T FORGET!
