Chapter 7

Character Analysis: The Boys and the Dance In Chapter 7, the boys perform another imitation of killing a pig. There are key differences, however, between this dance and the previous one. Evaluate your first impressions of the boys, examine their changing personalities, and determine if your impressions of them should be altered.

Changes in the Current Dance Directions: Explain three elements that are new to the dance in Chapter 7. Reread the dance passage to complete this. What the Changes Reveal Give your opinion on what each change listed above shows about the boys.

Drawing Comparisons: Ralph Joins the Hunt The Old Ralph Write down four examples from Chapters 1-6 of Ralph’s attitude toward hunting. Include page #’s when possible. The New Ralph Describe two things Ralph does in Chapter 7. Explain the Changes Give a possible reason (remember this is a personal opinion that you can support with evidence from the text) for each behavior listed under The New Ralph.
