Agenda N A program; things to be done Synonym: schedule The meeting followed the agenda and got out on time.

Archaic Adj Extremely old; outdated Synonym: obsolete The scholar reviewed the archaic text and tried to determine what type of civilization the ancient people had been.

Brevity N Briefness Synonym: shortness The professor was well known for his brevity; his classes were often shorter because he was able to condense his lectures.

Coherent Adj Holding together; making sense Synonym: reasonable The student’s ideas were coherent and clearly explained.

Cryptic Adj Mysterious Synonym: puzzling Joey’s note was cryptic, and none of his friends fully understood what he meant.

Disparate Adj Different; incompatible; unequal Synonym: dissimilar The boys’ interests were disparate, and they could never agree on what activity they wanted to do together.
