Key concept document First document in 2001, update in 2009 and in 2014 (HR) http://ec.europa.eu/environment/nature/conservation/wildbirds/action_plans/guidance_en.htm (updated with HR data) Commission had a study contract with FACE & BirdLife in 2012 which examines also 'Proposals for a methodology for the regular updating of the Key Concepts of Art 7(4) of the Birds Directive' (pages 396-426) http://ec.europa.eu/environment/nature/conservation/wildbirds/action_plans/docs/final_report.pdf

FACE & BirdLife proposal: To harmonise use of data (peer review), including format for reporting references (quality check) To set process of consultation at the EU and national level To update some parts of Key Concept Document? to take into account new knowledge in reproduction biology and phenology To develop searchable database Timeline for the work: 3 years
