Acts 27-28 Paul’s Journey To Rome Difficult sailing & eventual shipwreck 27:14-44 The ship ran into a “northeaster” They were forced to abandon sailing tactics and simply “gave way to it, being driven along” They ran under the shelter of Clauda, barely able to control the ship They undergirded the ship with cables and jettisoned cargo to withstand the violent storm The sun & moon were not visible for many days…all hope was abandoned After a long time without food, Paul admonished them they should have listened to him in Crete…however, he urged them to keep their courage vv. 21-26
