A Peek at the Week Class News Important Dates: What we will be learning next week: Math We will be looking at the subtraction and addition algorithms this week in math. We will not only review how they work, but why they help us fluently add and subtract Spelling Test Friday This week’s spelling words are: fire, ready, green, yes, built, long, our, because, around, us, large, asked, father, knew, answer, against, tree, course Reading Our first Reading unit is going to be fiction. This week we will take a look at themes within a story. Writing The first style of writing that we will be working on is Narratives. We hope to begin revising, and editing our first drafts this week. Science/ Social Studies We will continue our Electricity unit in Science this week! We will focus on how electricity flows through circuits and constructing our own circuits.
