Look at the embryos. What do you notice when you compare them? What would you expect to see if you compared their DNA? Compare the bones of the different organisms. What do you notice? What would you expect to find if you compared their DNA?

When you compare the skeleton of the fish to the others what do you notice?

What accounts for the differences seen between the fish and the other organisms? The embryos of the different organisms have gill slits and tails in the early stages of development. What does this indicate about their early ancestors? Looking at the skeletons, which would you expect to share the closest common ancestor? Why?
