The Learning Process. Behaviorism A branch of the learning approach The learning approach that emphasizes the effects of experience on behavior Example:
Learning, Memory, Thinking Cognitive Psychology. Learning What is learning? From a psychologists perspective: Learning : change in knowledge or behaviour.
 Social Learning Theory assumes that we learn behavior through observational learning.  Observational learning is where people can learn by watching.

Social or Observational Learning Behavior that is learned through watching others. Super Cute Examples

Observational/Social Learning Requires a model and modeling… Model- person being observed by learner that practices and repeats the behavior Modeling-process of watching and mimicking the model’s behavior- can happen either with or without the model’s knowledge I learned it by watching you!

Albert Bandura and his Bobo Doll Overview and Actual Footage

Four Conditions of Observational Learning Attention – in order for learning to take place, the learner must be aware and consciously pay attention to the model’s actions Retention – the learner needs to be able to remember the actions they saw the model do in order to learn them themselves. Ability – the learner must be capable of that behavior Motivation – the learner must have the desire to learn the behavior Big Daddy
