Conditions in Iraq Now Electrical power available to Iraqis from 11 to 24 hours per day depending upon the region Oil production at approx 2.5 million barrels per day; same as pre-war peak levels Availability of diesel, kerosene, gasoline, and benzene nearly at CPA goals Nearly one million telephone subscribers; 14% above pre-war level (244,000 cell phone subscribers) Transitional Administrative Law signed on March 8, 2004 Reconstruction or rehab of 2,300 schools; 8.7 million textbooks distributed 52 health care clinics are under renovation; 600 primary health care centers being reequipped
