City Council Support Measure H on March 7, 2017 Ballot Anne Lansing, Project Planner February 6, 2017

Measure H Recommendation Find that the recommended action is exempt from CEQA under the General Rule provision. Adopt a resolution in support of Measure H, the Los Angeles County Plan to Prevent and Combat Homelessness, a ¼ cent special sales tax to fund homeless services.

Measure H Background In August of 2015, LA County launched the Homeless Initiative to combat homelessness throughout the County. 47 initatives and $100 million in one time funding. City of LA’s Prop HHH to produce permanent supportive housing $1.2 billion for capital costs, but no service funding State’s No Place Like Home bond measure to produce permanent supportive housing $600 million for mostly capital costs for LA County

Measure H Background Measure H on the March 7, 2017 ballot Requires 2/3rds voter approval ¼ cent sales tax countywide for 10 years Estimated $355 million per year for homeless services Pasadena would be eligible for funding Existing permanent supportive housing projects - Centennial Place, Euclid Villa, Marv’s Place Any new permanent supportive housing projects
