Class Structure Quickwrites 2-3 days/ week Students keep journals in class

Outside Reading 1 per quarter Assessment given at the end of the quarter

Book Talks Students will receive questions a week before their presentation Students will give a summary and answer two of their questions

Absences Students have as many days as they were gone to make up an assignment. If a student knows that they will be absent in advance (sports, doctor appointments, etc.), please have them get the work from me before the absence.

Late/ Absent Work Policy If the student is on campus, they must turn in work that is due that day, even if they are not in my class that day. Email major assignments/essays

Tardy Policy 1-3 tardies = warning / parent notification 4 or more tardies = office referral
