Law and Poverty Colloqium 29 – 30 May 2011 International Development R525m 30% Using the good platform of strong relationships and measurable alumni interaction with key alumni, High Net Worth Individuals (HNWI) and Foundations internationally (UK, USA, Europe and Canada), we will leverage our networks to raise R525m for Stellenbosch University from 2009 to 2015. Our platform is solid and ready for the next level of institutional development. Corporate & Foundations Development R700m 40% To increase from the current good level of donor income the number, size, value and base of donations and to cultivate and secure new donor sources. Individual Giving R350m 20% To increase, strengthen and cement a giving culture and a willingness to financially support institutional priorities. Bequests R175m 10% To optimise the potential of bequest fundraising as a means of support to Stellenbosch University’s objectives from all alumni and friends of the university regardless of financial standing and age. Potential bequest donors are likely to appear at every value level within the database; not only major donors but also low financial value supporters who may be asset rich but cash poor. Stewardship and Donor recognition Prospect Research Facilitating repositioning of the university through effective, relevant donor and prospect research with the goal of increasing and regenerating a consistent flow of prospects form which to build relationships and increase donor income. Strategic (project) support Effective, quality delivery of enabling and support services in proposal development, project management and strategic initiative support to Advancement leadership. Data systems and data management Creating effective and user-friendly technological platforms to facilitate quality relationship management with alumni, donors and key partners and stakeholders. This includes maintaining and expanding the number and quality of active records on the CRM database/s and providing support and services to key stakeholders through quality information and processes to enable reaching market focus areas.
