Update on Monitoring Efforts Land Based Watershed Monitoring Efforts and New Stations Recently Installed Dick Bartz USGS, Ohio Water Science Center June 11, 2014 What is missing: OEPA and IDEM monitoring sites: 40 Sentinal (NAWQMN) sites statewide that are done monthly or quarterly; 8 ohio in WLEP; four in the Sandusky Basin MI ARS sites Seven USGS stream gages.

Heidelberg University – Tributary Monitoring

Approach Before/After Control Impact Design 34 fields (17 pair) representative of Ohio crop production agriculture (9 pair in WLEB, 4 pair in Upper Wabash, 4 pair in Upper Scioto) Surface and subsurface combination when possible Will be adding two new pairs, not sure which watershed

Two new paired sites will be added to the WLEB area. Nine pair in WLEB

USGS Gages

What is not shown Michigan ARS EoF sites? OEPA, IDEM, and MI DEQ NAWQMN sites In OH, 8 in WLEB and 4 in Sandusky; 1970s USGS Stream Gages (7) in the Sandusky River basin OWRC coordination State, federal, local governments, Conservancy Districts, Universities, Sewer Districts What is missing: OEPA and IDEM monitoring sites: 40 Sentinel (NAWQMN) sites statewide that are done monthly or quarterly; 8 Ohio in WLEP; four in the Sandusky Basin MI ARS sites Seven USGS stream gages.
