Lesson 8.1.5 – Teacher Notes Standard: 6.SP.B.4 Display numerical data in plots on a number line, including dot plots, histograms, and box plots. Full mastery can be expected by the end of the chapter. Lesson Focus: The focus of the lesson is to have students create graphs and answer questions from them. You do not have students’ complete stem and leaf plots – these are not required by our standards; However, some teacher teach stem-and-leaf plots to assist with understanding bins on histograms.
