Week Eight, Day One Novel Unit: The Tale of Despereaux Fourth Grade ELA Week Eight, Day One Novel Unit: The Tale of Despereaux This session will be recorded for learning purposes.  Learning purposes include: a lesson review for students who are absent, students who want to review for a test, etc. and will be distributed for learning purposes.

Daily Review RL 4.3 Describe a story event in depth -Identify cause and effect relationships Complete with students to review; Write student responses on board, Complete first two together and then send students into breakout rooms with a buddy to finish

Phonics RF 4.3 Know and apply grade-level phonics and word analysis skills in decoding words. Objective: Identify prefixes and suffixes and their meanings. Intro each prefix and ask students to brainstorm words containing these prefixes in the chat

Vocabulary inquire= to ask, find out, or learn clout =a hit with the hand vicious = terrible Ask students to read definitions on mic and discuss meanings WG
