Blessing #6 Salvation

Taste and see that the Lord is good Taste and see that the Lord is good. How happy is the person who takes refuge in him! Psalm 34:8 CSB

“Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” Revelation 22:7 CSB

Look (behold) - a word to get our attention; what is going to follow is very important.

“Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” Revelation 22:7 CSB

Jesus is coming soon: the time for his arrival is at hand.

Jesus is coming quickly: be prepared

“Look, I am coming soon! Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” Revelation 22:7 CSB

How to we keep or guard the words of the prophecy of the book of Revelation?

We keep the book of Revelation by not allowing ourselves to fall into errors like the 7 churches.

We keep the book of Revelation by living in constant awareness of Jesus' soon return.

We keep the book of Revelation by warning people of the coming judgment and giving them the gospel.

We keep the book of Revelation by not succumbing to the temptation to make this present world our home.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Luke 12:34 CSB

“Therefore I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing? Matthew 6:25 CSB

So don’t worry, saying, ‘What will we eat. ’ or ‘What will we drink So don’t worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For the Gentiles eagerly seek all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them... Matthew 6:31–34 CSB

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you. Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:31–34 CSB

We keep the book of Revelation by being faithful and looking forward to our victory in Jesus.

We keep the book of Revelation by confidently trusting in God's plan.

We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 CSB
