These focus on children actively using skills and knowledge for a purpose. They focus on giving experiences, talking to role models and creating aspiration. English → Author Maths → Mathematician Science → Scientist History → Historian Geography → Geographer Design Technology → Engineer Art → Artist Music → Musician SMSC, British Values → Philosopher MfL → Linguist PE → Athlete States of Being States of being refer to how the children will think, talk and act during our enquiries. Each enquiry will have one primary state of being, with 2 or 3 secondary states. Children will not be covering all subject areas in each enquiry. The skills will be mapped out, progressively, across the years.

Knowledge Organisers These will be used to frame the knowledge that each child is meant to know by the end of an enquiry. This is an example of a Year 3 knowledge organiser.

Next Term 39 Weeks 6 Terms Term 2 Heritage Month – 4 weeks Enterprise – 3 weeks Traditionally, curriculum topics have run for a term – some are 5 or 6 weeks, others are 7 or 8 weeks – and have been designed to fit the calendar. The new enquiries will run for as long or as short a time as they need. For example, in Term 2 we will have two enquiries.
