Christmas reminds us to have faith in God’s promises more than our circumstances [The Story Of Mary / Luke 1:26-38]

And the angel came to Mary and said, “Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you! . . . Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. . . (Luke 1:28-30 ESV)

And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. And Mary said to the angel, “How will this be, since I am a virgin?” (Luke 1:31-32 ESV)

And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born . . . (Luke 1:34-35 ESV)

will be called holy—the Son of God will be called holy—the Son of God. . . For nothing will be impossible with God.” And Mary said, “Behold, I am the servant of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” (Luke 1:37-38 ESV)

The choice of one person to believe that God is with her and has chosen her changes life and the world. Do you believe that today? Do you believe life needs to change

When we were utterly helpless, Jesus came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, (Romans 5:6-7 NLT)

though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Jesus to live and then die for us while we were still sinners (Romans 5:7-8, NLT)

Do you believe that today?

And the angel came to Mary and said, “Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you! . . . Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.” (Luke 1:28-30 ESV)
