Elecbits Smart Helmet

Description Smart helmet has two parts bike side and helmet side Helmet side consist of ATmega328-PU, Alcohol Sensor, vibration Sensor, Pulse Sensor, GSM module, Battery, BMS and RF module. Bike side consist of ATtiny-13, RF module, Voltage Regulator and a Relay module. Helmet side uses some DSP filters to decode Sensor’s raw data and instruct bike side.

Working Smart helmet has three sub systems which works parallel. First system takes data from pulse sensor and decides whether helmet is wore or not and instructs bike side according to the sensor’s input. Second system takes data from Alcohol Sensor and decides whether driver is drunken or not and instructs bike side according to sensor’s data. Third System takes data from vibration sensor and decides whether accident happened or not and instructs GSM according to data.

BLOCK DIAGRAM

Applications Smart helmet can be used in all two wheelers to promote wearing helmet. Smart helmet can be extended to improve vehicle’s security system.
