DUST BOWL Series of droughts and dust storms that destroyed many farms.

FORECLOSURE When the bank takes the house for not paying the loan (mortgage).

HOOVERVILLE Temporary housing set up by the homeless.

OVERPRODUCTION To make more than can be sold.

Speculation Buying something in hopes of selling later at a higher price.

Rugged Individualism People can succeed on their own and gov’t help should be minimal.
